Well, I am officially a working mother. Well, I have been working for the past year, but only part time at night. I feel that at this time in my life, it is for the best. We NEED two incomes to live and I think that 90% of families do. I have been fortunate enough to stay home with my child for almost two years of his life. I think that he is at the age where he needs to have interaction with other children on a daily basis. I think that is why he is lacking with his speech. He needs to communicate with other children. I have been working with him with flash cards for the past couple of weeks and I see a very clear difference. He needs to be around other children, it will help become more social, which is a very important skill to have. He is not a baby anymore and he needs to learn to be without his mommy.
I was sad the first few days, I cried all the way to work on the first day, but it hasnt gotten better. Plus for the past few days, he has been with his dad. He is only going to daycare 3 days a week and I know the daycare lady very well. She is a good family friend, so I know he is being taken care of.
All in all, I think it's going well. Other than the fact that I have been SO tired (I"m not used to waking up at 5:30 am). The money is more steady, and MUCH more in general.
Well, wish me luck......
any other working mothers out there have any advice for me?
