Staying sane in a world full of CHAOS!!!!

Wow, these days I am feeling very drained.

I feel like everything and everyone has been sucking the life out of me. There have been 3 deaths in my family in the past month, which is more than I can handle. Work just seems so demanding and I feel like the people there are so consumed with drama, it wears me out. Not to mention I have been having some issues with my health (personal issues). It’s nothing to be worried about, it can be taken care of, but it has made me feel uncomfortable and inconvenienced. Then there are just the daily issues that life throws at you. It just seems like a lot has been happening lately and I think it is finally gotten to me. I don’t think I have really “slept” in about 2 weeks. I just lay awake at night, staring at the damn ceiling, thinking about everything. When I get home at night, I am so damn drained, then I have another list of shit to do ( I know this probably sounds like everyone else in the world too). I need a release. Mike always tells me that I need a hobby and he is probably right. I need something that I can do on my own time that I enjoy. It needs to be something that I enjoy and doesn’t cost too much money. But then again, how do I find the time? I already don’t have enough time to do the things that NEED to get done.

Sometimes I don’t understand how we do it. How we juggle everything in our lives and still remain sane.

Rudy T Drago: Feb 17, 1936 - March 15, 2009

Mike's grandfather passed away on Sunday.

He has been battling cancer for the past year and for the past 6 months or so, he has been getting progressively worse. It's very sad situation for everyone. He was so opinionated, outspoken and loud, but most of all he was a very loving man. He would so anything for anyone in his famiy at the drop of a hat. I am sad that he is gone, but I am grateful that he is no longer in pain. I honestly think he was ready to die, he was in no much pain.

RIP Papa Rudy........................

Our "gay" time in San Diego

Well, I was going to post pictures from our San Diego/Seaworld, but instead of outlining our whole trip, I thought I would outline a specific adventure we had. We had spent all day at Seaworld on Saturday. About 5 mins after we got in the car Ryan fell asleep. Mike decided to drive around to find a decent restaurant and let the child take a little nap. After about an hour and a half of driving and not really finding a restaurant (and going in circle around the same 2 streets), I told Mike to just park and we would find a place. We parked and walked a couple of blocks down University Avenue in San Diego. We found a place called "Hula's Beach Bar and Grill". It didn't seem like necessarily a "kid friendly" restaurant, but we were all hungry and at this point I didn't really care. We ordered our food and as I am sitting there, I notice that there a few guys at the bar w/no shirts on (but in San Diego ALOT of guys didn't wear shirts), then I see two men holding hands (hmmm, interesting), then I see the waiter doing a pirouhette in the middle of the restaurant (to Britney Spears of all people). Within about 5 mins, I realize that we are the ONLY STRAIGHT PEOPLE IN THE WHOLE PLACE. Anyways, we ate FAST and got the hell outta there. I go online and google "hula's beach bar and grill san diego" and this is what I get....

I tried to take a screenshot, but I couldn't figure out how to insert it in the blog
Basically, I realized that we were in the "gay" district of San Diego. I just want to know how of all places to end up in San Diego, we end up in the gay district???

He is definietly a Seth-Hunter

I guess no matter how much you watch your child, accidents are bound to happen. Just a couple of months ago we took Ryan to the emergency room to get 8 stitches in his lip when he fell onto the coffee table and busted his lip open.

Fast forward to tonight, we get out of the car at my in-laws house. I got Ryan out of the car and he walked over the the other side (which he always does). I hear him cry and I run over there and he is sitting on the ground screaming, grabbing his hand. I am guessing that he decided to touch the exhaust pipe on my car. I run him into the house, where we try to put ice, water anything on his hand. He probably screamed for a good hour straight. He got himself so worked up that he even threw up twice all over me, himself and denise. He is fine, it looks like his is going to have a blister or two though. It looks like he got his thumb. We put some burn cream on his hand and wrapped it up so he didn't move it.

I have a feeling that my child will be the one that always gets hurt. He will constantly have stitches, bandages or something. There is one thing I can say about this whole situation. I dont ever thing he will touch the exhaust again.

Why the facisination???

I am sitting here on the computer looking over at Ryan completed mesmerized by the tv. He is watching "The Upside Down Show". I don't know how many of you out there have children who watch this show, but he is completed amazed by this show. It's not even a cartoon. It's two grown men who do a lot of pretend play. It's not like the wiggles or anything, but it's very odd to me that he likes this show. At 8, every night he runs to the tv, because I swear that he knows that it is coming on. From 8 - 8:55 he watches this show and then goes straight to bed. When I say he watches it, I mean he sits in the same spot and doesn't move for 55 mins. This is the ONLY time he sits still for that long. I look at this show and think, what is the facisination?

Ryan's first letter

Ryan loves the letter A, he thinks that every letter is an A.

This past weekend he came up to me w/his aqua doodle. For those of you who dont know that that is, you put some water in a pen and they write on the board and it only comes up on there. Then when it dries, it disappears. He plays with it quite a bit. Anyways, he came up to me with his aquadoodle and said "mamma A". and what do you know. He actually did write an A.

Look at that and tell me that isn't an A!

I thought it was a fluke, until he did it again today. He really knows how to write an A. I am very impressed. Now, it's time to start on B!

Ryan's First Pet(s)

Ryan got 2 goldfish from my mom and dad for Valentine's day. I tried to name them, but he says "noooo" "fishy", so I guess their names are Fishy, according to Ryan. He already gave them a treat and decided to give them his lollipop. Hey, they were really trying to eat it. I am sure I will find many more random items in there. Here are some pictures....

So, these 2 goldfish are Ryan's first pet(s). I really wanted a dog, but I guess the fish will have to do for now. :)

At least Ryan really enjoys them, that is all that matters.
