Welcome home

Not only is Mike back, but he came back a different person. He is a pilot, well not only a pilot, but also a certified flight instructor.

Words cannot describe how proud I am of him. If you knew Mike when he was younger he wasn't exactly a "good student". He has the brains, but like most teenagers he decided not to use them!!! For the past 7 months he has been constantly, studying, flying, taking tests or something that has to do with airplanes. He started with a class of 9 students, he is the ONLY one who made it through the whole program. Not only he is the only one who made it all the way through, but he made it through with flying colors. He did such an expectional job. He fufilled a life-long dream, how many people actually get to do that in their lives? Not very many. It took a lot of guts, determination, hard work and stamina to do what he did. Even though it was alot of work he loved it because he got to do what he loves doing best, flying airplanes.

You have to remember what is REALLY important in life

I think everyone has times when they forget about what is really important in life. We focus on the material things instead of what is really important. In the past few days I have reminded to be thankful that I have a happy, healthy child.

One of my best friends recently found out that her 9 month old son is sick. Not only is he sick, but so is she. She has been through so much since the second she got pregnant and it never seems to get better. I don't know how it feels to have your only child sick, but I can imagine that it has to be the worst thing a mother can go through. When you are a mother, you don't love anyone more than your child(ren). All you want to do is make sure that they grow up, happy, healthy and sucessful. To have the possibility of that being taken away from you is indescribable.

All I know is that she is strong and she will get through whatever happens. I love both of them very much and I will pray for them everynight.

When Ryan woke up this morning I just held him for a minute, kissed him and told him how much I loved him. I told myself that I will never take his health or happiness for granted and to cherish every moment that I have with him. He is most important thing in my life and I will never forget that.

I am so thankful for him.
